Jan31 Schedule Changes! WO - January 31 - Feb 8, 2008

Hello friends,

After talking with parents and Mr. David and looking at the crazy world we all walk in - I have made some changes in the weekly schedule for next week!

Saturday Feb 2 Bible Fun Night 6:30-9:00pm (still happening)

Sunday Feb 3 NO SR EYC

Tuesday Feb 4 PANCAKE SUPPER - 4:00-7:00 (bring a griddle!)

Wednesday Feb 5 ASH WEDNESDAY - only 7:00pm Imposition of Ashes! No JR EYC or HARDCORE BS.

Thursday Feb 6th YOUTH COUNCIL MEETING (still happening)

Okay - hopefully this will cover all the basis and give us all a little breathing room or study time! :)

Come join the fun and serve your local community.

When: January 20th

Time: 12:30 - 4:30

Where: Meet in the youth room and we will carpool

What: TBA

Bring: Your own lunch and clothes that can get dirty and keep you warm.

Jan31 JR HI RETREAT - Feb. 22 - 24th

Calling all 6-8th graders!

This is your chance to get away, hang out with friends at an awesome camp, and learn all about the “Mystery Revealed”

This years JR HI Retreat promises to be awesome!

When: Februay 22 - 24th
Where: All Saints Camp (carpool from church)
Time: 5:00 departure from Church and return Sunday at 2:00pm
Cost: $65.00
Bring: Sleeping bag, towel, closed toed shoes, clothing for two days (appropriate for weather), flash light, journal, Bible, toiletries, and any meds (give to Toni), permission slip and check.


Jan29 Anita’s Ordination

This weekend I had the awesome opportunity to see one of my dearest friends be ordained to the sacred order of Deacons. My friend Anita and I met in seminary about 4 years ago, when we were both signed up to take a class in Anglican History, Canon, and Polity. It was a class taught by our bishop and both of us were hanging on by our fingertips and Anita’s class recordings! It was a friendship born out of the flames of hell (or intense pressure!) and one that has only blossomed as we have worked together to further the kingdom of God and served along side each other at Epiphany.

Jan24 Windows Washed!!!

Great thanks goes out to Patricia England, Nadia Hill and Matthew Hawiszczak for their hard work at clean all the inside and outside windows in the Church, St. Margret and St. Marks, the prayer room, the choir building and the bookstore!

Way to go guy and gals! Thanks for braving the cold and serving your church!

Jan24 Window Washing and Confession of Sin

So my youth and I cleaned all the windows in the sanctuary and in the parish hall of our medium sized church this passed Sunday. And as I sat in the church and looked at the light pouring through the clean windows I began think about how those windows are a lot like the souls of the people who sit in our pews every Sunday.
