Empowering Enthusiastic Young Christians to know, to love, and to serve our Lord Jesus Christ.
That is the mission of the Epiphany Youth Community. We focus on Discipleship, Community and Service through weekly Bible study, monthly service projects, summer mission trips and fun events through out the year.
Junior EYC
begins in the middle of a student’s 6th grade year and runs through their graduation from 8th grade. This program meets weekly through out the school year on Wednesday nights starting at 5:30 till 6:30pm. This weekly program focuses on building a foundation of Biblical knowledge and life application. We do object focus lessons that encorporate multiple educational learning styles so that all of the youth are engaged in the adventure of living a life for Christ.
The Junior High program also introduces the concept of service as a lifestyle and a result of a life lived for Christ. Junior High youth participate in monthly Servant Sunday programs as well as in a week long Summer in the City mission trip in the summer.
Senior EYC
The SR EYC program begins when the student enters High School and runs through graduation. This group meets twice a week for Bible Study, worship, and fellowship. On Wednesday evening the SR EYC gather at 7:00 for a short intensive look at scripture in HARDCORE BS (Bible Study). On Sunday nights 6:30 - 8:00pm the SR EYC gather for worship and a teaching. The focus of this group is on living out our faith in the messiness of life.
The Senior high program continues the emphasis on service through monthly service projects. The goal of the SERVANT SUNDAY program is to introduce students to a large variety of ways of living out the call of Christ to care for the least of these. In addition to local service projects, the SR EYC partipates in nation and international mission trips. This year the SENIOR EYC will return to New Orleans to continue the work of restoring that community. This year, for the first time the SENIOR EYC will also travel to UGANDA, EAST AFRICA where it will participate in the construction of a dinning hall for the Chain Foundation, an orphange for some of Uganda 2 million orphanges. They will also participate in a summer camp for diocesian youth.
