Epiphany Youth Community

Dear Parent and EYCer's,

Greetings to you all!

Yesterday I was informed by my doctor that I will need to have immediate surgery to remove a blocked gallbladder. I have been assured by the surgeon (and many others) that this is minor surgery, but I will need to take off some significant time to allow for complete healing.

I have been scheduled for surgery on Tuesday morning (5/26) and have great faith that I will be released from the hospital that same day. However, I will not be allowed to return to full-time work for a minimum of one week.

This unplanned interruption will not keep the busy schedule of youth events and celebrations from going on. Senior Sunday and the End of the Year Extravaganza will proceed as planned, only I will be absent. The people who have agreed to step in and assist in the running of these events are aware of all the plans, and are eager to keep the celebrations going. I encourage you to participate with great abandonment and joy, as I will be needing to live through your excitement (especially since I wont get to whirlyball with ya'll!)

The only change to the schedule will be the Parent meeting on June 2nd. I apologize for the inconvenience, but I will be moving that meeting back one week to July 9th at 6:30pm in the youth room. For all the parents with students traveling on mission this summer, I hope you will be able to join us on that evening.

Graduating Senior Parents, I would ask if you are planning on providing me with your graduates photos on CD, could you please put them in my box on my door at the church, as soon as possible. I would like to get as much of the video completed before I am laid up. If you are emailing me your pictures, I will have internet access at all times, and will respond to your email to let you know I have received them.

I will be out of the office from May 25th through June 5th, but I will be checking my cell phone (214-213-2906) and my email (toni@epiphany-richardson.org) regularly.

Many blessings and prayers for your EOC's, projects, presentations, recitals, and performances!

May the Peace of Christ be with you always,
Toni
